Aaron Henson's will, executed in 1917, mentioned that he left only $1000 to his daughter Myrtie Law since she had received a settlement in the year 1900. Since Aaron and his first wife, Sarah Jane Cottrell, were married in 1880, and Myrtie was born thereafter (she was not shown on the June 1880 federal census with her parents), Myrtie would have been a minor at the time of that settlement, and thus probably legally unable to be bound by it unless she was married. For that reason it is theorized that she was married before 1900.1
